Catholic Characters Concepts

Christianity will be a major player in my story. (especially Catholicism due to the story taking place in both Spain and Poland.) I'm tired of the bizarre portrayal of Catholic Priest in modern film/television... Some of them are dear friends of mine and I'll use this as a chance to prove they are normal people.

Father Ricardo is your typical Spanish Priest, don't let that smile deceive you... he's as tough as nails and tends to speak his mind. He's the pastor to Charlemagne's village area and is a very influential member in the local society.

Despite the Second Spanish Republic's ban on religious schools the nuns of the area continue to teach children instead of secular teachers, it's mainly due too them being in the countryside and no one exactly cares about the laws/rules the government puts out and plus the nuns have always been an essential part of the peoples lives.  Mother Mary Salma is the stoic mother superior of the convent/school. She's the more main character out of the bunch and is feared by the children for her strict discipline. The most interesting part about her character is the fact that she used to be Charlemagne's girlfriend back when they were younger but gave that life up to become a religious... I think that would be fun character development. Lol

Sister Maria Sara is one of the kindest nuns at the school and is well loved by the children, if they are ever to be caught misbehaving they hope Sister Sara would be the one to find them instead of Father Ricardo or Mother Salma.

Sadly a side character doesn't begin to describe Father Gawe, so far I plan on only having him appear in the first chapter. I like his character, he's actually Polish (first chapter takes place in Poland... for now any way.Lol) and is the type to rush headlong into battle in order to help anyone he can. He's probably about to go in the image I drew, hence the purple stole.
